About Us

For more than 40 years our business model has been built on adaptability, accessibility, and bespoke client service.

Big Law Talent.
Unique Boutique Service.

Sternshein Legal Group began more than 40 years ago with a vision to provide practical legal advice for owners and operators in the post-acute care and senior housing continuum. Today, we remain a boutique law firm devoted to serving a growing list of clients who have also become our family.

Whether you are a small home health provider or own properties in multiple states, navigating the financial and regulatory processes of real property and business transactions in an ever-changing healthcare landscape is…hard. Our team of friendly legal experts is here to make it easier.

Our Story

We trace our origins back to 1988—when gas cost less than a dollar per gallon, and Rick Astley was topping the Billboard Hot 100. That year, Gary Sanders opened his law office in Orange, CA, and more than 30 years later, that office has evolved into Sternshein Legal Group: a majority woman-owned boutique law firm devoted to providing practical legal advice for owners and operators of companies in the continuum of post-acute care. Our clients, many of whom have been with us for decades, include skilled nursing, assisted living, home health, hospice, and senior housing providers. Like healthcare today, we are continuously evolving and adapting – but the importance we place upon personalized, practical legal advice remains constant. Our business model is built on adaptability, accessibility, and bespoke client service. And we’re proud to say Gary Sanders still practices with us today as Sternshein Legal Group’s Of Counsel!
